TRACK 1

The Most Interesting New AI Use Cases

The initial use cases for GenAI were easy to come up with. Truly conversational AI, summarizing enormous amounts of unstructured text and the like. What disruptive and interesting use cases have companies rolled out recently, and what can we learn from them?

TRACK 2

Does AI Need to be Explainable?

The negative implications of the “AI black box” are well known, but must all AI models be explainable? In this session, we’ll discuss when explainability is essential. We’ll also look at ways companies are monitoring the quality, accuracy, and potential bias of model outputs in lieu of being able to explain the underlying model.

10:30 – 11:00 AM

Panel Sessions

TRACK 1

The AI Risks to Prepare for Now

Not all AI risks are obvious. In this session, we’ll discuss how companies are prioritizing AI risks by both urgency and industry.

TRACK 2

What Will Define a “Knowledge Worker” in an AI World?

Generative AI can handle a lot of tasks we associate with junior knowledge workers. As “AI digital workers” proliferate, how will companies redefine these roles for the human staff who remain?

How Will You Hire and Train for an AI Future?

When AI is integrated into most aspects of a company’s operations, how should companies be rethinking how they recruit, hire, and train new staff? We’ll discuss what skills and aptitudes are likely to be most valuable in an AI-augmented company.

TRACK 2

How Will LLMs Impact Data Privacy?

“Open source” LLMs have generated controversy around the sources of data used in their models, and the potential for abuse that creates. Others see a role for using GenAI to find and flag PII for removal. In this session, we’ll discuss both the risks and opportunities.

2:00 – 2:30 PM

Panel Sessions

TRACK 1

Developing an Ethical Governance Framework for AI

Companies are realizing they need both data governance and model governance to avoid ethically questionable outputs. Bias is the biggest risk factor, but there are others. How are companies creating workable governance frameworks?

TRACK 2

Domain-Specific Small Language Models

Domain-specific small language models are creating opportunities for efficiency, versatility, and accessibility that will open up thousands of use cases not applicable to more general LLMs. There is plenty of scope for innovation as developers explore the possibilities of these new customizable codebases.

Peer Connect Session and Scheduled 1:1 Meetings with Sponsors

Network with your peers and meet with relevant Emerging Tech Summit sponsors.

3:30 – 4:00 PM

Who Should Be Leading AI Strategy in the Enterprise?

Most of the demand for AI innovation is coming from the business, but most of the knowledge about AI typically sits in IT. What are the implications for AI strategy driven by either business or IT and how can companies avoid the inevitable blind spots that will arise as a result?

TRACK 2

Fighting Hallucinations: Different Approaches to Trustworthy Output

LLM hallucinations have been an unpleasant reality of all LLMs and so far none of the big players in the space have managed to eliminate them.
