Ajit Melarkode
SVP for APAC Sales at Concentrix

Ajit Melarkode is an experienced pathfinder in the world of technology, having helmed businesses seeking hyper-growth and competitive advantage in five different areas, from ITO and Applications maintenance to Cloud and SaaS, building businesses, teams, and leaders. Ajit has led sales across EMEA and Asia Pacific and having served clients in 25+ countries, is particularly proud of the diverse, multi-award winning teams he has built around the world and of those whom he has coached who have grown into CXO and other leadership positions.

He was part of creating growth in two dotcoms and a declining industry at a BPO JV amongst 3 retail banks, at opposite ends of the business challenge spectrum, and relishes delivering successfully against demanding challenges with his teams. Before his career in industry, with big logos such as EDS, Unisys, Dell Technologies, and Rackspace, he headed an equities research desk in stock broking and regional operations for a $ 4B long-only equities fund, whilst on the Asia ex-Japan asset allocation committee, also focused on the technology sector.

Ajit’s opinions have been sought after at various public fora as a technology evangelist and he has frequently featured as a commentator in the media such as Bloomberg TV Live, the BBC, MoneyFM Singapore, China Daily and the South China Morning Post.

Ajit is an alum of the London School of Economics (L.S.E) and London Business School and enjoys continuous learning. Dell Technologies sponsored him to the INSEAD Senior Executive program, besides his completing a course on Japanese Business Management at Waseda University, Tokyo.

He and the family have lived in India, the U.K., and Hong Kong and currently reside in Singapore. His wife, who is a financial controller in private equity, and their two teenagers, enjoy all manner of outdoor activities and competitive sports together. Ajit practices pathfinding in his private life too, having trekked locations as diverse as the Azores, Greenland, Libya, Madagascar, and Mongolia, amongst others. As the father of an ambitious daughter, he has appreciated the opportunities to co-found and executive sponsor the Global WomXn ERG’s at two of his previous companies. He is committed to the role of education in social upliftment and is on the Executive Forum of Dulwich College (alma mater to P.G. Wodehouse and Sir Ernest Shackleton) in Singapore.
