WHAT WE DISCUSSED
Participants joined fellow technology and data leaders for a relaxed evening exploring where the modern Lakehouse is headed. As open table formats like Iceberg change the way we store and access data, new challenges are surfacing around performance, scalability, and cost. They swapped stories, compared approaches, and shared what’s working so they walked away with fresh ideas they can put into play with their team right away.
Our Host – Firebolt
Firebolt is the analytical database for real time applications.
Built for production-grade Data and AI workloads, Firebolt gives engineers the performance, flexibility, and control they need.
It has Postgres compatible SQL, can run on Iceberg, and delivers strong price/performance even on complex high concurrency workloads. Low-latency queries, complex joins, heavy batch ELT – all run efficiently in one place.

SOLUTION EXPERT
Benjamin Wagner
VP of Engineering at Firebolt
Benjamin is the VP of Engineering at Firebolt. He works with the teams on building the fastest and most cost-effective analytical query engine for modern data-intensive applications. Recently, a lot of that work has focused on bringing Firebolt’s capabilities to the open lakehouse architecture. Benjamin first fell in love with database systems while studying computer science at the Technical University of Munich.
