Its significance depends on where it exists, what it connects to, how an attacker could reach it, and whether the organisation can reduce that exposure before a permanent fix is available.

For organisations operating dynamic AWS environments, this challenge is becoming harder to manage. Assets, workloads, applications, and network paths can change faster than security teams can assess, prioritise, and remediate them. Severity scores remain useful, but they rarely provide enough context to determine which exposures require immediate attention.
