Cybereason - Connect the Dots in Cyber Defence
Common Sense Virtual Roundtable:

Connect the Dots in Cyber Defence

November 11th, Successfully held

Here’s what we discussed:

With continued successful ransomware attacks and high profile espionage, financial services organisations are vulnerable to cyber attacks that impact service levels, cause losses, embarrassment and impair compliance obligations.

Effective incident response that combines accuracy of understanding incidents with speed of remediation is critical in the portfolio of cyber security disciplines that financial services must have.

We had a lively and informed discussion with a select group of CISO peers about Best Practices and Thought Leadership for Incident Management. Led by Lawrence Ang, Former CIO of the Monetary Authority of Singapore and Founder and Executive Director of Landz Consulting.

Solution Expert

Leslie Wong
Regional Vice President APAC at Cybereason

Here is what we learned:

Sandra Laton, Vice President Data Security and Confidentiality, Credit Suisse

• Sandra asked how management should be convinced to invest in cyber security and noted that analytics tools are not cheap.

Huey Thai Ooi, Head Data Security, NETS

• Huey said the on-the-ground security teams can up and leave their jobs in 2 years. When there is high turnover, no one owns the architecture. A culture of trust between the security and IT teams needs to be built so all the dots can be connected.
