In Ireland, a skill shortage is creating retention challenges for many companies. Some sobering data points:
- 20% of employee turnover happens in the first 45 days
- 33% of new employees begin searching for jobs within their first 6 months and 25% leave within 1 year
Hybrid workforces create a whole additional layer of employee engagement problems (and some opportunities).
In this session, HR leaders discussed questions like these:
- What are successful Irish companies doing to address engagement and retention challenges early in the employee journey starting with hiring and onboarding?
- Do these companies have a strategy for collecting, analyzing and acting on direct and indirect employee feedback and signals?
- What strategies must companies have in place to ensure investments in HR tech produce the desired outcomes?
